  •  I have had to evacuate my home 3 times in 3 years (10+ / 0-)

    because of wildfires in Central Oklahoma.

    Last year, oddly enough we didn't have to bug out. But the three years before that! We once spent a night in a motel, not sure if we would have a house to go back to.

    All my oak trees are dying because of last year's drought, and beyond that, my vitex [a drought tolerant shrub] likes like 10 miles of bad road too for the same reason.

    We have extreme weather in Oklahoma as a matter of course. And I am telling you, just like the people in Dallas will tell you, it's bad even by Tornado Alley Standards.

    And we live through bow-echo-squall lines with 80 MPH winds all the time. And it's worse than usual.
