    Oh Mary Oh

As people become increasingly desperate and find themselves adrift, underwater, and without confidence in their ability to get ahead / maintain their economic status...

They become increasingly susceptible to distractions, such as social issues, and often find refuge in lashing out  in anger at those they think have destroyed their lifestyle.

However, with more Free Trade Job Outsourcing promised, banksters in the White House as Chief of Staff, I don't expect things to actually change.

Oh sure, they'll be a few crumbs tossed to the 99% - make no mistake.  Marketing is a "cost of doing business".  Don't private companies "donate" to Charity and then trumpet that as evidence that they "care"?

Yet they do not change materially in how they operate.

The few $$ expended on the CEO's favorite charities is a Cost-Of-Doing-Business for marketing / PR purposes.

    Extension of jobless benefits?  PR.

Free Trade With Columbia?  More Free Trade (bigger than NAFTA) promised at end of 2012?

    Now THAT'S material.

Ask yourself:  Which has a greater impact?  Free Trade or Jobless Benefits Extensions?

Half the states are anti-choice?  That's just the opening act.

    Wait till 2013.

Obama's Jobless Benefits extension, along with Healthcare "Reform" are nothing more than opiate painkillers meant to numb while the 1% continue their vivisection of the working class.

BCBS Partners to Fight Breast Cancer:

Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey and Englewood Hospital and Medical Center (EHMC) in Bergen County, New Jersey, are collaborating to promote breast cancer prevention and awareness to patients in their communities.
Hey!  WTF!?  The Insurance Industry doesn't need "Reform"!  Look - they are helping Breast Cancer Victims - we need to leave them the hell alone!  What?  Don't you want to help Breast Cancer victims?

    Monsanto Charity Fund:

Since 1964, the Monsanto Fund has worked to substantially and meaningfully improve people’s lives. Just as Monsanto Company has been the leader in innovative and sustainable agriculture, the Monsanto Fund has worked to be an innovative philanthropic leader, providing sustainable assistance to communities in need around the world.
OMG.  And to think that I criticized Obama appointing a Monsanto Lobbyist to the FDA!  WTF was I thinking?  Clearly Monsanto only wants to help us!  Hell, they should run the FDA!

Rahm Emanuel Has His Own Charity:

he Emanuels have their own charity, The Rahm Emanuel and Amy Rule Charitable Trust, which was formed in 2002.
I don't know about you but I certainly won't be criticising Rahm again.  Even if he did take millions from a Wall Street bank prior to being Obama's Chief of Staff.  Did I say Wall Street Bank?

    JP Morgan Chase Foundation:

JPMorgan Chase's philanthropic goal is simple - be a catalyst for meaningful, positive and sustainable change within our highest-need neighborhoods and communities across the globe. In 2010, JPMorgan Chase and its Foundation gave more than $150 million through grants and sponsorships to thousands of not-for-profit organizations across 28 domestic markets and 25+ countries abroad. We also support the individual interests of our employees through the Matching Gift and volunteer programs.
What!?  What was I thinking attacking Wall Street Banksters?  Clearly they want to help!

    Wait.

Perhaps PR is just a Cost Of Doing Business.

Is it time to wake up yet?

I voted for Change. Not Three Chiefs of Staff from Wall Street Banks. Not Bernanke, Summers, Geithner, Holder, Simpson, or a Monsanto Lobbyist. Not more Free Trade. Not more Patriot Act. Not defending Wall Street's Savvy Businessmen.
