  •  here's what's amazing to me: what's emerging is (10+ / 0-)

the sense that the Mitt camp actually believes that whatever statement they've made that day constitutes the objective truth on a topic, and we all have to defer to it.

"Maybe you didn't understand.  Our statement today was that Mitt Romney has spent his career working tirelessly as a community organizer.   You just printed a story saying he was a venture capitalist.  Now, please retract..."

    •  It seems like Romney thinks he can change the (0+ / 0-)

facts to fit whatever regulatory issue he is facing at the moment, and although you wind up with a half dozen contradictory stories given to different entities, they're all facts, because FOR PETE'S SAKE, HE'S RUNNING FOR PRESIDENT!

Because stupid people are so sure they're smart, they often act smart, and sometimes even smart people are too stupid to recognize that the stupid people acting smart really ARE stupid.

And CNN is dutifully repeating the propaganda. To all who see it, it will be "true".
