    Though I wouldn't usually do this, on this statement I'd give the Romney campaign the benefit of the doubt, re:
    "he was "on a part-time leave of absence to head the Salt Lake City Olympic Committee"

    'Part-time' in this statement means 'temporary', as in he was leaving Bain temporarily (a 'temporary leave of absence'), then planned to come back after his Olympic stint.  It doesn't mean that he was working part-time.

    I think there's enough other evidence that suggests/proves that he wasn't completely disengaged from Bain after 1999, that we shouldn't hang this statement on Romney as proof.

      when you sign those SEC documents, you are stating that you have complete knowledge of the transactions taking place and that you are the responsible party.  Now he is saying he didn't really "know" what was going on at the company and so therefore wasn't responsible.  He really can't have it both ways.
