As a 'senior citizen' I virtually had to force some of my younger friends and family to watch films I consider classic.
Example: Hitchcock's 'Notorious' which everbody in the crowd loved; black and white, all narrative and character development -
they're just not exposed to this anymore and they were amazed.

Another area is the great American musical. I still flabbergasted at the lack of exposure. Independence Day is when I have myYankee Doodle Dandy movie party. Now years ago I wasn't  so shocked when people didn't know James Cagney ever did a musical but when some never heard of him in this day and age -wow-I'm really getting old.

my family to watch The Music Man with me. By the end, they were having as much fun as I was. The trouble being, they STILL don't think they like musicals, and I'll have to fight just as hard for the next one.
