Ladies are subject to the same marketing gimmicks, only with a feminine twist.

Personally, I stick with my pink daisy double bladed disposables.  I'll use the fancy shaving cream since it's only $3 a can usually, but I refuse to pay more than 50 cents for an object that is two strips of metal slapped in a hunk of plastic.

shave their legs at all. I mean I can understand that for certain kinds of fashion it's helpful (especially since it seems practically no ladies wear hose any more) but really, sometimes natural is sexy.

      •  it's way better to adjust your standards of beauty (5+ / 0-)

than to conform to absurd standards in the first place, IMO. neither legs nor armpits should be shaved, and don't get me started on pubes. no way i'd get a razor anywhere near my nuts, no way i'd ever expect a woman to shave anything that tender. yeesh.

ladies are "blessed" with very dark, very thick, very wiry leg hair... not the golden fuzz you see on a baby's cheek or a natural-blond surfer-chick's tanned forearms...

I believe that lots of the no-hose gals must wax. I've tried that, with some success; waxing leaves the skin feeling wonderfully soft, if you can manage the RIIIPP-ing part, 8-0; and it may eventually produce electrolosys-like results.  you can make your own "sugar-wax" at home, too, that stuff has a very long history.

I prefer living more "naturally", and thankfully my DH agrees... you can wear slacks & longer skirts more often, 8-)

AND some get the heavy, wiry eyebrow hair too! I've finally learned how to work with that, but it took 40 years! It's not perfect, but it looks a lot more like it belongs on a female face than on somebody's 80yo grandad!

"real" work : a job where you wash your hands BEFORE you use the bathroom...
