In fact, they are trying desperately to undo all the cuts that were negotiated during the last crisis. They got massive cuts and didn't like it one bit. Their donors in the MIC gave them marching orders to keep the corporate welfare checks coming.

Oh, and they also want their precious tax cuts for the wealthy that are about to sunset. They'll have to pay dearly for those. They've got no hostages to take!

If you can convince a decent bit of the electorate to vote against their own interests by scaring them, you can get go amok and get away with it.

The problem is, in the end, the electorate, and I'm afraid we have to somehow cause a good number of conservatives to open their eyes to the fact that it's Republicans who spend like drunken sailors. (while loudly blaming Democrats)

It hard for people to change tier tribe. I'm clueless on how to do this unless there is another 8 years, like under Bush and then we get 4 years to clean it up.

I fear our role is salvage.

to go Over the Cliff:  1-866-338-1015

Sen. Mitch McWaddle and his rich cronies are pissed that Murray will force the issue on 12/31/12.  Democrats need to unite behind Murray and force McWaddle "Over the Cliff."  Watch him waddle his chins.
