  •  You ALWAYS see tons of smiles in the background (6+ / 0-)

of Obama events.  I love to see the happiness at his events.

You rarely see that at GOP events.  They are too angry, too ... retroactive.

I believe we help each other in times of need. I want all our children to get an excellent education. Every American deserves health care. I love my country. I am a patriot. I am a voter. I am a Democrat.

    •  I was there, and the crowd was happy ... even (6+ / 0-)

after we'd all just spent 2-3 hours standing in the most awful heat and humidity.  I had my 88 yo mother with me, and people were so helpful.  My son and I took turns standing in line and going back and forth to where we had Mom sitting in the shade.  Everyone was so caring of one another.  Even the vendors who were selling water were handing out the ice from their coolers, so we could cool down ourselves.

While happy, the crowd was also full of very committed folks.  We had to go for tickets on Saturday, and it was raining.  So, the people in that audience had already stood in the rain for 2-3 hours to get tickets and then had stood in the sun for 2-3 hours in the blazing sun to get to be there.

These were mainly the people who are going to work like crazy to try to make Hamilton County, Ohio blue, again in the Fall.  Great group and great day.

Plus, I got to talk with David Plouffe, today.  :)
