  •  In Texas we have the same law (4.00)
and just to stay on the right side of it, our doctors administer Mifeprex to our medical abortion patients directly.

So I guess the answer to your question is "maybe they'd better."

    •  Was the law in Texas supported by the state (none)
medical association in order to preempt any power grabs and patient trolling by upity midlevels or strictly a righty-fundi written bill?
      •  Don't really know (none)
but since it predates our current wave of anti legislation by a number of years, it well could have been the former.
      •  It is federal (none)
Mifepristone ("RU486" or the "abortion pill")must be given by the physician to the patient by FDA regulation.
        •  Very true for Mifeprex (none)
and in states with "physician only" laws regarding abortion, it would be prudent to observe that practice with medical abortion utilizing methotrexate and Cytotec/misoprostol as well.

Just MHO, but you would likely agree that doctors who provide abortion care in abortion-hostile states such as South Carolina, Texas and many others are already risking enough as it is.
