It is one thing to be a defense attorney. It is another to use the same tactics as those you dislike. The hypocrisy of Jeralyn Merritt runs rampant.

She has now now sided with the NRA, Fox News, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity and criticized members of the civil rights groups to defend this worthless piece of s... called Zimmerman.

This part of the transcript tells me everything I need to know:

HANNITY: Do you regret that you had a gun that night?
    ZIMMERMAN: No, sir.
HANNITY: Do you feel you wouldn't be here for this interview if you didn't have that gun?
    ZIMMERMAN: No, sir.
HANNITY: You feel you would not be here?
ZIMMERMAN: I feel it was all God's plan and for me to second guess it or judge it --

HANNITY: Is there anything you might do differently in retrospect now that the time has passed a little bit?
    ZIMMERMAN: No, sir.

Beyond the fact that Hannity did more talking and was clearly leading him through a narrative of the defense and with questions, as he does on his show, to elicit certain points he wants for political reasons. But of course, Zimmerman would NOT have been there if he didn't have a gun and that however, for him to say would weaken his case for stand your ground. However, if he did not have a gun he probably would not even have approached Martin and Martin would be alive today. if you really want to accept that this was God's will to have Martin killed as a teenage, you are welcome to that view, but that puts you in line with George Bush and Rick Perry who have allowed the State of Texas to kill more of it's citizens than any other State in the History of this Country.

She runs her site not any different way than what Nancy Grace does on her show. You create your own idea and narrative, you state your views as if they are obsolete facts. if anyone strays from your per-ordained view, then you delete, block or cut them off. Whether it is from a defense, prosecution or victim's rights side- it makes no difference. It is the same as imposing your thoughts on others while talking abut the freedoms of this country that you defend.

loose cannon at all, but sincere. I especially liked his repeating the message in Spanish at the end. As I noted when writing about his jail calls, he's clearly comfortable with Spanish.

He also makes the point this is not his website but "our website." I think that's another sign it's his family and friends (not him) that's calling the shots. But I agree, they are intent on getting their side out, apart from what O'Mara chooses to release or how O'Mara portrays it. It's risky and I wonder how long O'Mara will go along"

Many people appear sincere. Bill O'Reilly actually believes what he says. So does Michele Bachman. Does that mean they are?  How many psychopaths who have no conscious appear sincere. Charles Manson seemed quite sincere.

This is an old story, having been raised in the South, but there is no need for those that claim to be on our progressive side to give approval to the worst instincts of our society that all of us fight every day.

Apparently none of these people have ever seen a gunshot to the chest and the lack of blood on Zimmerman, based on his description or seeing a shot to the chest or even caring enough to check and see what happened to someone that lay motionless- as if he did not hear his gun fire right in front of him- makes zero sense.

Boycott the site and say enough is enough. She is engaged in undermining the civil rights movement of our party and country.
