  •  I Have to Agree That the Mere Fact of Continuous (14+ / 0-)

coverage of an event like that is shocking in and of itself. There aren't news developments coming more often than once or twice a day. An entire world is going unreported on some outlets like CNN.

Just now they've begun covering the coverage, how it was covered around the world.

If you wrote this as a book, nobody'd have believed it before the 21st century, but alas nobody would find it unusual now.

    •  Don't worry, Gooserock, we'll move on to the (5+ / 0-)

Olympics next week---and it'll all be forgotten....

      Until it happens again....

Oh, and how many congress critters have stood up to the NRA, and condemned our weak laws?  One. McCarthy in NY, and she lost her husband in a subway massacre, IIRC.

    •  This is probably the point to all of this (0+ / 0-)

nonsensically endless coverage of this one, specific event:

An entire world is going unreported on some outlets like CNN.
As well as perhaps to condition viewers to some sort of expectations regards this type of a violent event.

H'mm. I'm not terribly into this, anymore.
