    I'm not unionized (my profession in general isn't). But from what I know, when you're on strike, you're not exactly making money, since you're not working.

    The depression has basically gutted people's savings and rainy-day funds.

    Unfortunately, I don't see this ending in a good way. Record profits means that the company in case can probably weather the storm for a long time, probably longer than any of the employees.

    Still, I'm rooting for the union. Even in a small company like the one I'm in, it feels like workers are getting stepped on at every turn. :(
