    •  Legislation gets passed with cute names (0+ / 0-)

One legislation which is about to be voted on in the senate is labeled "H.R. 3012: Fairness for High-Skilled Immigrants"

The detail of the bill reads:

To amend the Immigration and Nationality Act to eliminate the per-country numerical limitation for employment-based immigrants, to increase the per-country numerical limitation for family-sponsored immigrants, and for other purposes.

Congressmen glance at the bill's name and think they are voting for "Fairness".  Who would be against fairness?

Never mind that their citizen constituents who voted for them will soon be replaced by a flood of H-1B workers and unemployment and foreclosures in their district will soon skyrocket.
