  •  The $3 thing (3+ / 0-)

I didn't give $3.  I gave $25.  I've done that in 6 cases now for democratic candidates I'd like to see win.  I'm not some richie and so, I have to give as I can.

But, this $3 thing means that you give your "information" to the site collecting it and then, you're innundated with requests from not only the campaign you supported, but campaigns and "causes" all across the left's political spectrum.

I know this because my neice gave the $3 once I sent her the site address..she's a union school worker in California.

Please, guys.  I know that once you get people to donate you think that's a really good source for every other kind of donation for every kind of good cause...but, it turns people off and, at the end of the day, I think it pisses people off and who knows the votes that just sit at home because of it.

    Just my take.

There are other ways to garner up donations, Phil.  I know you usually agree with my posts here and because of that, I'm not going to put anything negative here on what you've said here.

I don't have a problem with snail-mail requests for donations..God knows I get 2 - 3 of them every day in my mailbox.  I can then choose whatever is presented there.  But, when we put our phone number in the site we donate to and our email address there and then that is given to dozens...even 30 - 40 other campaigns..we get just so many quaries and emails and phone calls sometimes as late as 10 or 11 pm local time.  It's not something I care for...but, if you, sir, are okay with that, then I can't really make a good discussion with you on it.

It's just me...with the lack of people responding here to what I'm saying, either they're afraid someone will "question" what they're saying or just don't care about what I care about.

        Thanks.
