    century. That's with accelerating ice melt. A total meltdown of Greenland is in the 20 foot range. It used to be thought that Greenland would take centuries to melt, but looking at the possible increase in global temperatures, it might happen much faster.

      but sea level rise associated with thermal expansion of ocean water is also going to continue for centuries. We are virtually certain to warm to levels seen in the last interglacial 120,000 years ago (known as the Eemian) based on present GHG inputs. That means we'll see 15 - 20 feet of sea level rise over the next thousand years under best case scenarios unless dramatic and risky measures are taken to engineer a cooler climate.
