who only want what is right) have drawn a line. Unfortunately it continues to be crossed, over and over...by Wall St., by people put into positions of leadership with our votes and law enforcement officials in positions of authority. The facts are plain and simple for anyone to see...the cost to the average person is sad beyond belief and the results are misery and death for all but he 1%.
If one guy standing up for the common folk gets a little aggravated and causes a little ringing in the ear of one of the henchmen that are hired to allow the 1% to continue to pillage and plunder then I say so be it.
I'm sure I suffered far more damage at the last rock concert I went to.
Settle down and get a clue.
Take care and, as always...Peace, if possible.

the line is being crossed by BOTH sides won't make that happen.

i know that cost well.  i had no intention of "retiring" at 63 - i wasn't given a choice.

that little "ringing in the ear" isn't what happened.

i have permanent hearing loss in one ear.  it is sound related.  i cannot understand conversations without watching the speaker's face - i cannot understand many conversations even with blue tooth in that ear.  it will never get better.

for any individual to inflict that damage to another because of a protest is wrong.

you say peace, if possible.  that is what i am seeking.  ALL we are seeking - is give peace a chance!

had a more "personal" stake in tripping out so hard about a megaphone in a cop's ear.
I stand by what I said. Except the part about settling down and getting a clue. That was wrong and for that I do sincerely apologize.
I just hate seeing all of this fighting here among people who should be on the "same side".
You have a point. We don't need to lower ourselves to their level. However...with the tactics they use and the money they have to back it up, every now and then a guy (or gal) has to do what they have to do.
Rubber bullets...riot gear...tear gas...lethal weapons...all of the power of the "powers that be" behind you...all of the money of the "powers that be" behind you      VS.     A megaphone in the ear.
I'm still on the side of David...Fuck Goliath.
          Peace ;-|>

          •  i'm with you on the fighting, rd (0+ / 0-)

that is why i keep trying to defuse these angry diaries and redirect people to finding actual solutions to the horrific situation we find ourselves in now.

the ones with the power are not affected - we are the ones being torn into two sides here - yet we really are on the same side.

neither of us condones violence - not on any side - and we both object to that violence being used.

and, yes, if i have to choose, i choose david - i have been that david in many battles to many goliaths with great success.

until we understand the mechanics and dynamics of crowds and the position faced by the police, as well, we are still going to have problems.  the place to resolve the goliath issue isn't on the streets where there are "street fighters" - they are insignificant to this problem (even though they are part of the problem) - it is with the higher authorities - and that has to be done through the courts, the law and more for real change to take place.

we stand together in wanting that change - and only when we stand together can we make it happen.
