the Kurds - THEY are terrorists. The hypocrisy from the US and every NATO and GCC country boggles the mind. We now have the US supporting the very same people who killed many US soldiers in Iraq only a few short years ago.

    •  Yes, Obama brought a big change. (0+ / 0-)

Why, exactly, is that supposed to demonstrate hypocrisy?

Art is the handmaid of human good.

Circa 1998: Turkey accused Syria of using the PKK as a proxy terrorists and threatened war.

Pre-March 2011: The Turkish Government enjoyed the ability to send fighters over Iraq and bomb PKK whenever they wanted. Sometimes they sent troops.  The UN has turned a blind eye on this for decades.

March 2011: In the initial stages, Turkey maintained relations with Syria.

June 2011: Islamic fanatics in Jisr Ash Shagur slaughter 120 police and security in the town. Realizing they will face the wrath of the government for committing the slaughter, they flee to Turkey. The West embraces them and Turkey was pressured to nurture them.

July 2011-June 2012: Turkey is used a training/staging area where Islamic fighters are trained by British/French/CIA with funding from Qatar/Saudi Arabia. The constant attacks occupy much of the Syrian military.

July 21: PKK-trained Kurds rush into northeastern Syria to take advantage of the power vacuum. Syrians do not have the force to confront them, so they work on a political situation.

July 25: Turkey sees the PKK expanding along more of its border and blames Iran...Syria...everyone but themselves.

See only 'some' groups are allowed to have arms to assert their political goals. Islamic fighters against the secular Syrian government is not only good, but MUST be supported. The worker's party in Kurdistan is a terrorist group and Turkey says they can bomb them whenever, and wherever, they feel. And they blame Syria for the fact they have to bomb them.

And you say this is not relevant to your two sentence diary that was already (like many of your other news) been proved to be based on ill-sourced tweets.

        •  In other words, you're here to trash my diaries (1+ / 0-)

and spam your views on off topic, if somewhat related, topics.

This diary is about the clash today on the Syrian Jordanian border, news which AFAIK, was first broken on an English language website here.

None of your diatribe above is a comment on my diary, except the last sentence. And it is wrong.

I'm here because you go out of your way to publish a 'BREAKING' diary based on poorly sourced information. Your goal is to inform people based on emotion. Not on any kind of reflection of facts.

And I will go one step further and say you go out of your way to minimize the impact of damning media broadcasts that show the insurgents in a bad light.

Like when you showed a still of a video of Islamists taking control of a border post and made it appear like it could easily have been manufactured. A nice tool to brunt the fact that ISLAMISTS TOOK CONTROL OF THE BORDER POST.  At the time, the video was easily found:

I see you have since removed this idiotic claim. How nice.

Nor do you ever site facts that like:

Iraq's Deputy Interior Minister Adnan al-Assadi told Agence France Presse Iraqi border guards had witnessed the Free Syrian Army take control of a border outpost, detain a Syrian army lieutenant colonel, and then cut off his arms and legs.

"Then they executed 22 Syrian soldiers in front of the eyes of Iraqi soldiers," Assadi said.

            Bath party CBS News

So they do that to border guards. Soldiers that have nothing to do with controlling the unrest.

And you sit all smug. And pretend it isn't going on. That the people the U.S. government is supporting is a bunch of hardcore Islamic killers but we should rejoice.
