I had no idea there even were these places in California.  I looked at the locator on their site and the closest one to me is in Fairfield.  There are two near Sacramento.  That sure makes avoiding them easy!  If Mountain View ever opens, I will be sure to avoid it too.

into California -- especially the Bay Area and LA Counties. There's one opening in Santa Rosa (across from the community college) that's already a protest target, and I heard there's some protests planned at one in San Jose.

They used to have one at the old Sunnyvale Town Center shopping mall; I'd stop in there for a sandwich because it was close to the arcade and I was seeing the arcade manager at the time. Always surprised me they were closed on Sundays. This was of course long before the marriage equality movement was even on the radar screens; most of the LGBT community was in the midst of the AIDS crisis (this was during the Reagan years) and were just trying to stay alive.

Chick-fil-A does not have a presence in either Washington or Oregon, and may it remain that way for all time. Keep out of our beautiful state, CFA!

Why are war casualty counts "American troops" and "others" but never "human beings"?

      •  I had not heard about San Jose (0+ / 0-)

But if you look at their list of Opening Soon there's one coming to Walnut Creek.  WC is one of the more conservative parts of the Bay Area.  It took many years to replace the R Congresscritter with a D.  I believe it was Ellen Tauscher who gave the R the boot.

Yup, I remembered that correctly.  John Garamendi is representing them now.

CA-10 history.  Unfortunately, this writeup follows the NUMBER for the district, not the region.  Not sure how to find out the history of representatives for a particular city.
