We all know they're liars. But this site, for example, is not meant to be simply an echo chamber. It's purpose is Electoral victory. We need the support of everyone else who doesn't spend their time googling "Romney" every ten minutes and when enough proof of the lies begins filtering out of the site, through social media or otherwise, and it's repeated over and over,  then I think it's reasonable to expect that many "out there" will at long last come to the conclusion that indeed the GOP are a group of pathological liars.  But this demands a never-ending commitment to continually exposing the lies. Because if you stop, people tend to forget.

It requires substantially greater resources than the enemy to be effective, and even then they can win if they're simply more determined.  When the lying side has more resources, and control of nearly all major media, spending too much time arguing with their bullshit borders on madness.

The thing is, you don't have to come up with new anecdotes for Republican lies.  Just assert plainly and factually that they're liars, and if requested, be prepared to back it up with as many examples as are necessary.  Don't do more work than required.  Ordinary people who forget something so obvious aren't paying attention to you, just to what filters out of what you say, and why not just make it as simple as possible: Republicans are pathological liars.  Not "So-and-so said thus-and-such on March 3rd, and it was disputed by the source he quoted, blah blah blah."  Yeah, have those facts at your disposal, but Jesus...we're writing treatises that end up boiled down to Tweets by the time they reach the public.

By all means drop pamphlets on Berlin to combat Nazi propaganda, but the bulk of time, energy, and creativity has to be devoted to defeating the wehrmacht - people who really don't give a shit how right you are.  It's a lot easier to make your case to the people after you've proven it in action than just endlessly trying to prove it in words.
