  •  Romney makes Aaron Burr seem like a level-headed (0+ / 0-)

and decent patriot in comparison (who, at least, served honorably and courageously in the Revolutionary War). Forgot the centuries-old philosophical division between (putatively) freedom and people-oriented Jeffersonians and (also putatively) power and profit-oriented Hamiltonians (a simplistic and silly division IMO). The real, operative division in the US, at least since the Civil War, has been between Hamiltonians and Burrians, the former being (IMO) for the most part about responsible, sustainable, fair and necessary economic growth and activity, and the latter mostly about irresponsible, unsustainable, unfair and unnecessary economic growth and activity. And Romney is absolutely aligned with the latter, putting him alongside such historical economic scoundrels as Jay Gould, JP Morgan and, of course, Aaron Burr--all very dangerous men who put their own vainglory and unquenchable thirst for power and money above all else. Romney is thusly utterly unfit to be president, and god help us if he wins.
