  •  One quibble (7+ / 0-)

Sarah Palin didn't actually say that she could see Russia from her house, that was Tina Fey as Sarah Palin.  Palin's answer to the question concerning her foreign policy expertise was rediculous enough, she said something like "You can see Russia from Alaska".  The statement is actually a true statement but a silly answer to a serious question.  Tina Fey took it to the next level in fun.  "I can see Russia from my house."

Al Gore didn't say that he invented the internet and Sarah Palin didn't say that she could see Russia from her house.  Sarah and many of the other Republicans and T-people say enough rediculous stuff as it is.

    Otherwise, I enjoyed your diary.

Tina Fey said something like "I can see Russia from my back porch" while mocking Palin, what Palin said is itself somewhat deceptive. While a person can see Big Diomede Island (territory of Russia, uninhabited except for a weather station) from Little Diomede Island (population 135), she never traveled there and the natives were for the most part unaware of her existence.
