      and the mentality of police departments.

      Cops should never dress like an army of occupation. They should never mistake themselves for such, and the public should not come to perceive them as such.

      Camo exists to break up a person's silhouette. In non-combat situations, it is gratuitous as a fashion statement, and when worn by police, states "we are an army of occupation".
