    here's a "clue" for you.

You're feelings, however justifiable, passionate or intense, are no basis for appealing to the sentiments of those who do not already share your view or experience. Your feelings are no justification for making false claims in order to manipulate the sentiments and emotions of others for what you think best. If you are serious about building a broad resistance to the militarization of the Police you better pay more attention to how others see things and less to how you feel about them. Unless, of course, you are only interested in gratifying your own passion.

As someone who has experienced police violence myself, I'm not particularly interested in whether you think my emotional reaction is appropriate. That you think the current round of militarization is unprecedented tells me that you don't know your history. This trend is decades old, which goes a long way to explaining why everyone isn't as terrified as you.

You really don't seem to have any appreciation for any perspective or experience other than your own, a severe handicap for anyone hoping to organize resistance to this trend. Look at your comment above. You talk about how you feel. How upset you are that others don't feel exactly as you do. You complain of concerns about accuracy and truthfulness because you think these are petty, unimportant quibbles.

This may come as a shock to you but organizing a resistance movement isn't about you and it certainly isn't about insisting that others adopt your emotional attitudes. Organizing is about learning from others and finding common ground for action. This requires honesty, trust, sympathy and a degree of humility. All the self-righteous passion in the world won't make up for a lack of these.

No one in their right mind would make common cause with anyone claiming the right to mislead and manipulate them through misrepresentation and half truths. Attacking people for pointing this out is self defeating.

Nothing human is alien to me.
