“Culture makes all the difference” is not likely an observation that comes from the mind and pen of Mitt Romney.  That Jerusalem speech had to have been carefully crafted by his campaign's neocon foreign policy brain trust.  And, it doesn't take a genius to see that historical suppression, marginalization, colonial occupation, and economic institutions subject to other nations' influence and interests have no bearing on Romney's and his advisers' assessment of Palestinian economic fortunes.  In fact, his is a totally a-historical view that rests solely on a prejudice of the "intrinsic character" of Palestinian people.

Supremely racist, and anti-Semitic in the bargain since Romney's praise of Israel rests on it's national expression of those Anglo-Saxon values he sees at the core of America's "culture":

"...you can't get much closer to the ideals and convictions of my own country than you do in Israel."
Pretty disgusting when you think about it.
