    So much good stuff.  I've said often that "Catch-22" is the book that really got me started as a reader.  I love "Black Boy."  My current favorite author is James Baldwin.  And how can one not select Mark Twain?

    I guess "Catch-22" has a slight edge over the others, since I have not yet read Robert Penn Warren or Ralph Ellison, and I have read "Animal Farm."
