    but that's it.

    Let's put it this way.

Were I in charge of the Romney campaign, I'd be looking forward to the homecoming - not because it would stanch the bleeding but because I'd be spinning hay into gold for the next month.

Liberals just don't get how well sticking it to the world sells to xenophobes.

I assure you: Everything we're mocking collectively here at DKOS will be repeated to cheers on the campaign trail here.

would want the kinds of headlines Romney has been getting, both overseas and at home.  I'm sure Axelrod's clipping file is getting stuffed with material he can use in ads in the fall, if foreign policy ever becomes a real issue in the race.  His theme would be along the lines of "inexperienced, and unreliable."  And then a jump cut to the Osama headlines.

Or something like that.  Axe is a lot better at that sort of thing than I am.

        They're motivating their base.

They're betting the farm that there are no undecideds in American politics at this point.

That's why demonizing anyone and everyone outside of the Circle Of RepubliTrust is being taken to the next level.

Insult NAACP to their faces? Check.

        Insult foreigners to theirs? Check.

        Wash, rinse, repeat.

I think he's a political moron, and whatever success he might have is because Karl Rove (and others like him) and most of the wealth of the 1% are on his side.

If he were politically astute, he wouldn't have to hide from the press, and his tax returns wouldn't be full of info that oppo research can have a field day with.
