Bold, impudent behavior: "the gall to demand a fee".
        Annoyance; irritation.
An abnormal growth formed in response to the presence of insect larvae, mites, or fungi on plants and trees, esp. oaks.

Make (someone) feel annoyed: "losing galled him".
    noun.  bile - impudence
    verb.  vex - nettle - annoy - irritate - chafe - aggravate
