    although i think HHH was one of the finest men to ever serve this country, like others he got caught up in the vietnam war, he is one who should have been president.  other war hawks, social liberals like Henry Jackson had the same problem, good men, unable to shake the cold war.
    George Romney would have been a good president, but then again, without his paranoia tricky dick could also have been not good but great.  he was president at a transformational time, china, detente, he wanted to be loved, just could not escape his own devils.
