  •  I am not even thinking about Ralph Nader! (1+ / 0-)

Not at all.  He is not what we need.  I'm looking at Ron Paul, who through years of steady effort has grown a party that commands some kind of power.  But the Tea Party is a different phenomena.  Both are examples of successful efforts on the fringes that manage to exert an influence on the results that the game in Washington produces.

Nader tried and I'm sure someone who wants to earn a Ph.D. on poli sci will write a thesis about him.  Obviously, he has not been the answer for the left.

I wonder why Howard Dean gave up.  I had hopes for Elliot Spitzer but we know what happened to that effort.  We can't win for losing.
