    "All melted into slush". The ice sheet is several km thick. What the sensors found is that the SURFACE LAYER is exhibiting evidence of melt.

    There's a big difference. Which is NOT to minimise the significance of this discovery, but it is a far cry from saying the ice sheet is now slush.

    Exaggerated comments such as yours do not help. It is hard enough convincing policymakers of the accumulating evidence that recent extreme events are indeed caused by CC (see Hansen's recent article, referenced on DK).

    Misrepresentations such as the one presented here will do more harm than good, please believe me.

    I appreciate the story but kindly be careful in how you express yourself.
