  •  Cotttage industry during Clinton years (15+ / 0-)

The slime machine during the Clinton era probably created thousands of jobs.  Crudely printed, crazy-ass anti-Clinton manifestos could be found at church events, gun shows, and all sorts of right wing events.  Nothing of the sort exists on the Left.  We don't have this background "social network" that lets this stuff percolate in the background until it comes to a head as "common knowledge."

Nothing of the sort originates from the Left.  We are appalled at such tactics and eschew them ourselves.  The right even now uses them in their own primaries (Just ask McCain about the rumors started about his adopted child).  All enemies must not only be beaten, but also crushed.  I honestly don't know why any liberal would want to run for office these days because of the demonization and slander that occurs.
