That didn't used to happen. My town has never recorded a temp of 100F. I don't think  that will be true much longer. I mentioned to mrs kamarvt as we sweated in the garden today (before the tropical downpours) that we didn't move far enough north when we came here in 1990.

Mitt Romney is not running a campaign; he's making a hostile takeover bid.

    •  K, I have been thinking about Vermont (3+ / 0-)

as a possible place to go w/re climate change.

What are the predictions for how Vermont will fare?  Do you know?

In any event, the state is filled with the nicest people!

I belong to the “US” of America, not the “ME,$,ME,$,ME,$” of America!

Not like there's anywhere to go to escape, so I'll take what comes here on the dirt I occupy.
We got ourselves a pretty nice state all told, that's for sure. Weather extremes are definitely the climate change story for us so far. Last spring I checked the local almanacs, and almost all the records for temps and precip were recorded in the last twenty years, so this report is no surprise from my perspective, I'd suspected as much just living here that long.
Irene last August was about the worst disaster we've ever had, and it was a doozy.
