  •  That's great, but are the $$$ being spent wisely? (0+ / 0-)

I am a supporter, and will continue to do what I can, but that's not the point.  The real question is: "Are the supporters' contributions being put to the best use, in the most essential states?"

Maybe a decision has been made to make it very expensive for Romney to win Florida, though the Obama campaign knows the president can win without it.  If Obama wins Ohio, Virginia, Colorado--and all of these look easier and cheaper than Florida to win--then Obama is in.

I get dozens (hundreds?) of beg letters myself.  These are extremely expensive (look at the NY Times story last weekend about how much the Obama campaign is spending on mailings).  Are they really doing much good?  I throw 90% of them away without even cracking them open.   Perhaps that should be rethought, maybe cut then down by 80%.  Same with the emails--they're cheaper, sure, but when you get five a day, none of them get read.

There is nothing wrong with raising questions about the election strategy.  Sure, more money will help.  If we had $5 billion we could try to swing Alabama.  But given the reality of limited resources, these questions will remain important for Democrats to discuss and debate.
