convention? i could see r's wanting to kick him to the curb if he keeps up this performance but is there a mechanism for it this late in the game under their rules?

When I die, I want to go peacefully, in my sleep, like my Grandpa did -- not crying and screaming, like everyone else in his car.

    •  I don't know. I doubt it. They'd look worse (6+ / 0-)

if they did that than leaving him there, but after today, I won't be surprised by anything that happens next.

For me, Mitt reminds me of Jeff Bridges in Starman. He's like an alien that hasn't read the entire manual. You know, he's going, "Nice to be in a place where the trees are the right size. -- Robin Williams on Letterman 26 Apr 2012

    •  No, but... (5+ / 0-)

...it's a pretty safe bet that it will be a noisy and dissent-filled event, not exactly media friendly for the Republicans.  Even accounting for the simpering acquiescence they will get from CNN and the broadcast networks.

And Mittens does not handle dissent well.  If we're lucky, he'll lose it.

If they have a brokered convention, Obama will win by 20+ points; it will be the biggest Democratic landslide since 1964.  Unlikely but fun to think about.

a lot of enthusiasm ... but I think it will be enthusiasm for watching the Republicans implode at that convention.

Nobody told them they were going to have to follow their own rules!

      Cogito, ergo Democrata.
