So we build a desk over my treadmill out of scraps of plywood and 2X4s that we had. It only took us about 3 or 4 hours to put together, but we have done projects like that before so had a pretty good idea how to go about it.

It has the laptop area with room for an extra screen to have an extended desktop when I need it, along with two shelves 48" X 13" to my right for things like a scanner, printer, place to put drinks and food that can't spill on anything that can be harmed, and drawers to hold various office supplies. It's one of the best things we ever did!

Oh, and the TV is across the room, aligned pretty much with the desk, and the laptop is connected to it with a 25 ft. HDMI cable so I can run video on the TV with my laptop. That's a really nice thing for shows like Maddow that I get with Itunes. It's also helpful for showing my spouse things like images, website pages, and videos.

I have a drafting chair I put on a platform that stands over the treadmill when I don't feel like walking. I lift both away to the side when I want to walk.

To type, about 1mph works well for me. Can't do graphic work at all while walking, but that's not all the time.

I used to walk every day, but since we built a greenhouse I don't do it as much because I do a lot of moving around in the greenhouse, but still like having the option when I feel like moving around a bit more, especially when it's very hot or cold out.

All in all, I would highly recommend having a treadmill desk of some kind for pretty much everyone. It really helps cure the sitting down blues.

Women create the entire labor force.

      like that!

I work from home and my husband can't really get out much and has heat intolerance. We could sure use something like this.

For the record, I am not a member of Courtesy Kos. Just so you know. Don't be stupid. It's election season. My patience is short.
