in this diary.  I haven't checked all out, but big-picture wise this appears very serious.

As for the poll, I think that violation of U.S. or foreign policy lobbying restrictions is small potatoes.  My thoughts lead into the areas of treason with this.

    •  Thanks I agree with your thoughts in that these (3+ / 0-)

activities go far beyond lobbying in the traditional sense of the word.  What they're doing is in fact treasonous to all Americans.

it would be very helpful if you separated it into parts and put out diaries that those of us who are not as well versed as you, can learn from.  And of course, link back or quote parts of this.

You know, start with a Dummies version.

I think your work is very, very important and I would like to learn more about it.  Thanks for all your efforts.

breaking it up into three parts with others and we came to the consensus that it would lose impact and some may miss the individual parts due to other election topics taking their attention.

There is still more to this IRTF/ALEC story that is yet to be told...I will make every effort to shorten those that follow.

June on this and at the time, expressed my firm belief that although ALEC seemed to be facing a demise because its activities had created so much bad press for its corporate backers, I would be highly surprised if they didn't simply go back underground and search for other ways to accomplish the same ends.

These people do not give up easily and they have tons of money to back them up.  It has worked wonderfully for them for a long time and being able to have corporate insiders literally write laws designed to benefit their own interests is just too tempting to give up.

And they have willing allies among those they have bought and those who believe as they do that "corporations are people."

Free markets would be a great idea, if markets were actually free.
