white guys look like idiots in TV commercials. I'm one myself, but I'll bet that there are plenty of other white guys who fairly intelligent.

last. If a society were completely equal, we all could occasionally be singled out as idiots. Look what women have had to put up with: dumb blondes, bimbos, etc.

is what the man in the video described--or was in another comedian video somebody published to this thread?--namely, how can we insult somebody? Do we insult a white male by calling him "ugly"? Won't work, he'll laugh it off (since society doesn't promote his looks as a core part of his identity). Do we call him "stupid"? Also won't work, since he's supposed to be "the brains behind the operation," as far as society is concerned, by virtue of his race and gender. Anyway, if it's not possible to insult somebody, they're probably a member of a privileged, protected group in society--no matter how "oppressed" they tell you they feel.

unaware of their mostly intact privilege. It's quite invisible to them.

in this venue, heck, even in this thread. Hey, what personal baggage of yours, makes you believe you're under attack?

"white privilege" so at least I'm at the level where I'm passed my own defensiveness  about it. That's step number one for all us "privileged" people, but a lot of people are stubborn about going there.
