  •  The Gospel of Abundance (0+ / 0-)

teaches otherwise.  Based on exegesis from John 10:10 which mere agnostic I am unworthy to attempt to recreate, the Apostles of the American Abundance Gospel movement demonstrate that one's wealth reflects one's status with God, that if one is rich, that is proof that one is beloved of God, and all who seek to share in God's blessing should help to make you richer.  Likewise with the poor, God has reasons for making the poor poor, and let no man so sin as to alleviate the condition which God has imposed on the unworthy.  Further, while per Jesus the laborer may be worthy of his hire, but that says nothing of making sure that the hire can't be pushed as low as the market will bear.  Liberals still want to channel Christianity through the late 19th century Social Gospel, but that movement is as dead as a doornail, and the modern, living Christianity is the Christianity of the Abundance Gospel.

Ever get the feeling you've been cheated?
