and Social Security this election season, lets give them one.

That should be every Democrats' key theme during the 2012 elections, no matter what part of the country they are from.

If the Republicans want to turn this election into a referrendum on two of the most successful and popular government-run programs not only in U.S. history, but in world history, well...lets have the debate over which party's approach is best.

The facts are on the side of Democrats when it comes to Medicare and Social Security. And the facts are that, with only a few relatively modest adjustments to both programs, they will be sustainable well into the next century.

So, in my opinion, the question that Democrats should be asking their opponents this year is: "If only a few minor adjustments are necessary to guarantee the solvency of Medicare and Social Security into the next century, then why to Republicans like Paul Ryan insist on unnecessary radical changes?"

Mittch-A-Sketch Romney in naming his pal Paul as his vice presidential candidate may well have nationalized this election on issues that are highly favorable to Democrats...Medicare and Social Security.
