    democratically elected civilian officials "getting rid" of the military dictatorship by simply "decreeing" it.  

    And the military "going along with it" without a peep.

    There has obviously been behind the scenes deal making going on, and that's the REAL story behind all these moves.  We just don't know exactly what they are, or what they portend for the future of a real democracy in Egypt.  

    If it's simply that Morsi has agreed to leave the military entrenched, in exchange for more personal power than any president should have, then it may not be much of an improvement.  

    But considering the "revolution" never really got rid of the military dictatorship, even a small step in the right direction may be better than none at all.
