The DCCC needs to make the statement over and over and over. And, each of us, in our own district needs to send LTE, pass out flyers, wear buttons, whatever. But never stop saying that your representative voted to destroy Medicare. That's my plan, and I'm on it.

Questions are being asked of the Republican challenger, namely, does he support the Ryan budget??

Jose Hernandez, the fine progressive Democrat running for the seat in California's 10th District, yesterday released this.

As an official candidate's release, I don't mind quoting the whole thing. It's short.

With Mitt Romney’s selection of Paul Ryan as his Vice Presidential nominee, Congressman Jeff Denham’s support for the Ryan budget that put the middle class in line behind millionaires is now front and center. Congressman Denham, as a Romney California Co-Chair, is going to have to explain to voters why he continually votes for Paul Ryan’s drastic cuts to Medicare in favor of protecting tax breaks for millionaires and corporations that ship good American jobs overseas when the Central Valley’s unemployment rate is so high.

In Congress, I will always represent the Central Valley first.  Unlike Congressman Denham, I will not support any plan that balances the budget on the backs of seniors or the middle class.

This is just a news release. I'm sure as the race progresses, Mr. Hernandez will tie Mr. Denham's vote for the Ryan budget around his neck.

      If he's smart.

And Hernandez is very, very smart.

I'm not familiar precisely with exactly what I said, but I stand by what I said, whatever it was. -- Mitt the Twit
