    •  This is their current game plan. Newt did the same (6+ / 0-)

      thing yesterday.

“All you’re doing is mimicking the stuff that comes out of the White House and gets repeated on the Democratic blog boards out there. If you’re going to mouth what comes out of the White House. …”
Newtie was repeating all the same stupid talking points that I'd heard earlier in the day from other GOP surrogates, and then he said something very similar to the Sununu quote above.

The GOP 'accuse the other guy of what you're doing' strategy just went to a new level.

      1. Spout asinine and debunked GOP talking points for as long as the host will let you.
      2. When the host pushes back on anything, accuse them of using Dem talking points.

The new GOP talking point is "accuse anyone who challenges you of repeating talking points."

I wish I had time to find and edit the Newt interview and the GOP flack interview (with Soledad) that I'd seen earlier. There's AWESOME comedy potential there.

Paul Ryan has risen to prominence because he thinks that poor people should suffer and he doesn't mind saying so.

      •  And it's such a freaking weakass response (1+ / 0-)

The Dems said exactly what you're saying now!  Therefore, your argument cannot be correct, and you are biased, QED.

Um, maybe the Dems are saying it because it's true.  Only in Rushland does "the Dems are saying it" sreve as proof of falsity

And second um.  She's an anchor conducting an interview.  She's supposed to ask a surrogate to respond to the other side's arguments.

Why the hell did he go on her show, except to take advantage of the opportunity to tell his side of the story?  And his tack is to take umbrage, that she should dare put these arguments to him?

        It's insane.

And then she rubs salt in the wound by pointing out the numerous nonpartisan sources saying the same thing.  And wouldn't allow him to overtalk her.

        Oh, it was good.
