    the only polling I can find says only 24% think Obama raised taxes.

    While it's true that many people didn't notice having a tax cut, this is because most people don't pay attention to the numerical rate or don't consider various rebates to be a literal "tax cut." On top of that, when you figure in local taxes, it's not surprising that people didn't notice a marginal reduction here and there. On the whole, though the vast majority of people don't think they're paying more taxes, it's not as clear cut.

    But that's not the case with the donut hole and the free preventative care. Those benefits are clear and obvious, and believe me, I used to work in the health care industry... many seniors were OBSESSED with the donut hole (and for good reason).

    Does Obama need to emphasize that this is a result of the ACA and that Romney wants to take it away? Yes, but this is an easy task. This isn't some obscure macroeconomic policy like the stimulus where most beneficiaries were several degrees removed from the actual expenditures.
