    this ad and made Medicare an issue without making the issue an enormous liability for himself in the process.

    I mean, call me crazy, but wouldn't that be easier than contriving an elaborate "trap?" After all, it's not like Romney needed permission from Democrats to talk about Medicare.

    Or how about this.... FFS, people, turn off cable news and stop panicking. Romney is not a mastermind. This wasn't some "campaign narrative" Rube Goldberg device that has lured Democrats into a fatal error. It's a rehash of ads that the GOP has been running for YEARS. This ad won't actually be airing anywhere for at least a week, and unlike the inevitable ads on Couponcare, it won't be conveying any new message when it does.
