    Where 115-120 degrees is pretty normal this time of year, the only stat that got my attention was the 11% humidity when the rain hit. That's pretty odd.

    August thunderstorms are not unusual in the desert southwest, actually, they're common, but rain sparking a fire would be. I should note that most of these storms are usually only a few minutes in duration.
