  •  The wind energy companies bribes were too small (15+ / 0-)

Not that a bigger bribe would have done any good.

Let's just say that I'm intimately familiar with the utility industries in Wisconsin and the midwest and I know way too much about the dirty dealing and graft that goes on.

The bottom line is that the 2 wind energy companies that were forced out of the state weren't part of the Borg Collective. A different wind energy business was their competitor and the Borg Collective dumped a boatload of cash in campaign funds and lobbying.

Alliant is a major industry rep for the ALEC secret conspiracy working group along with several Wisconsin ALEC state legislators. ALEC is out to kill ALL green energy progress and intends to abolish the EPA.

Less obvious is a major supplier of coal for the coal-fired plants. There's an obscure Great Lakes coal transportation business in Wisconsin that's a subsidiary of Koch Industries. Each executive is a maximum campaign contributor, probably as a condition of employment.

I recall that there was a very large coal ash spill in Wisconsin near the Lake Michigan shoreline a few months ago. Same shit, different bribes.

This is just the tip of the iceberg.

So the corrupt FitzWalkerstan Fascists made the minimum distance for windmills large enough to make it impossible to site any wind farms in Wisconsin. The 2 companies ran for the border. I'm surprised that they haven't sued for their lost investments yet.

If you assumed that Walker had a problem with wind energy, it's reasonable that you wouldn't understand why this could be.

But Walker doesn't have a problem with wind energy. He has a problem with ethical behavior and dealing with his sociopathy and grandiosity. And bribery is the only language he hears.

It's always about money and power (heh, I made a pun).

Is it true? Is it kind? Is it necessary? . . . and respect the dignity of every human being.

In fact, I've tried to construct a real example that isn't based entirely on speculation and guesswork. I've pretty much given up.

I'm not sure if there's much benefit in showing another example of questionable ethics and speculative relationships. We already know that this shit stinks.

There's no way that I can show that this wind power scenario is more than speculation. I know that this is only a sliver of this activity. There are simply too many fuzzy pieces involved. There is no smoking gun. There is no evidence. There is no illegal activity. The money is untraceable.

So this wouldn't be an investigative report in any way. I don't think this would be helpful.
