  •  We had both houses for two years. (0+ / 0-)

No one tried.  Pelosi didn't hold a vote.  It was entirely in her power to do so.

They didn't even hold a damned vote.

The President never mentioned it once in office.

So, what do you propose we do differently if we take both houses again?

Obviously, elect more Democrats, and even elect better Democrats, are not enough of themselves.

    So, what's the strategy?

We only had the Senate for 6 months.  If you need help understanding this fact, just ask me and I'll go into further detail.

You have to have a filibuster proof 60 in the Senate to control it.

In that 6 months, a lot got done, and a lot of time was put into ACA.

There are many highly important policies that need enacted, and unfortunately this one did not make the top of the list in 2009.

Myself, I think it's hugely important.  Income inequality, and the fact that so many are forced to struggle to survive, is unconscionable.  Hard to believe this is happening in the USA in 2012.
