  •  Why would they do that to return a guy (4+ / 0-)

for questioning.  It gives lie to the whole concept that this is about anything but getting Asange into a location that he can be extradited to the Us

These capitalists generally act harmoniously and in concert to fleece the people, and now that they have got into a quarrel with themselves, we are called upon to appropriate the people's money to settle the quarrel. Abraham Lincoln

if a non U.K. citizen was wanted for questioning in Sweden and had been granted asylum by Ecuador, would the U.K. even be contemplating forcibly extracting him from the embassy to facilitate his extradition, if his name were not Julian Assange? This has everything to do with the fact that he has just poked the world's most powerful country in the eye, by releasing a host of its diplomatic cables and other internal documents, and that country just happens to be a very close ally of the U.K.

And also - I do not normally entertain paranoid fantasies myself, but it is just too much coincidence for me that just after the aforementioned eye-poking, Assange finds himself wanted for sexual crimes in Sweden. The U.S. government has reason to want him jailed, where he can't do further harm. They also would like him discredited, so that even his former supporters cease rallying behind him. These charges have the potential to do that. Maybe it is a coincidence. Maybe he is guilty and should be in jail. But when what very powerful forces want to happen to him, does threaten to happen to him, and just after he has offended those powerful forces, you have to be suspicious.

Am I the only person who has read the articles on firedoglake and rawstory about Anna Ardin's ties to the CIA?

Don't you think it's a little ODD that this woman who is accusing Assange has a history with CIA contractors?

I mean, the whole "rape story" thing is just blown out of the water if you know the facts and you know who is involved.

But the MSM won't name her.

        •  Wow, you really believe that? (1+ / 0-)

The "Anna Ardin is CIA" is one of the most hilariously bad "12 degrees of separation" things I've seen in my life.   That anyone can take it seriously makes me question my trust in humanity.  Really, because she wrote two articles about Cuba in a magazine which was published by a Swedish group which a professor says is connected to another Swedish group connected to a Cuban group which has connections to a guy that a wordpress article says is a CIA agent, and because she's gone to Cuba and worked with pro-democracy groups, one of whom held a parade in Florida, wherein a guy who is accused of bombing a plane decided to attend and he marched next to Mariah Carey... therefore, Ardin is CIA?  Really?

          •  Mariah Carey raped Julian Assange? (0+ / 0-)

I gotta ask TMZ about this!

Yep, I read the degrees of separation argument.

She was thrown out of Cuba for being an activist and her fellow travelers in person and print, on that issue, were tied to CIA contractors.

Not to take anything away from Ardin and her briliant use of gender politics and the Swedish duckpond or her skillful use of political influence both inside her own party and in her manipulation of the ruling party, BUT

I don't believe that her friend Marrianne Ny was able to get a bogus extradition order with no charge or court order by herself. Nor do i believe that an Interpol Red Notice is within the capability of Ardin and Ny on their own.

            They had help.
