  •  Admiral McRaven's judgment of Obama: "Fantastic" (6+ / 0-)

He went on to say that the President and his advisers value facts, take professional advice and make careful judgments. He added that, "I am very impressed".

I take these words very seriously after the fiasco we had in Iraq. Bush wouldn't even take his own father or Gen. Skocroff's advice about not going into Iraq because it would break apart into waring factions as it did indeed.
The only thing that held Iraq together was Saddam Husein's brutal dictatorship. He was like a mafia Don that commanded respect and kept order.

It must be a pleasure serving under a CIC who values what you have to say , is a careful thinker and doesn't treat your men like cannon fodder. Those "Swift-boat"
hacks are not made of the same cloth as Admiral McRaven.
There judgment is clouded by racism, blind loyalty to the GOP or stupidity.

    •  But will Congress provide necessary support (0+ / 0-)

day to day or if injured?

That's the question that seems to have an iffy answer.

This is, of course, the difference between republicans and human beings. - Captain Frogbert
