that we are more than simply a bunch of cells. Besides the body, we also have a soul, a consciousness, something that makes us who we are. The body and the soul are separate, but come together at a certain point in time. When is that? No one really knows. Religious scholars place it at: conception, birth, the third trimester, etc. In other words, who knows?
Taking that into account, it is my opinion that if a fetus is aborted, it doesn't really matter much because the soul that might have entered that body will go on to enter another body. The universe knows when, knows who, and how.
I do not believe that we have only one chance, but many. A body is simply a vessel for the life you are living NOW, at this time in history.
A seed is not a plant. A bunch of cells in not a human. Both are the potential for life, but are not life itself.

Isn’t it ironic to think that man might determine his own future by something so seemingly trivial as the choice of an insect spray. ~ Rachel Carson, Silent Spring ~
